Large bird print of Black Ostrich from hand colored engraving, beautifully detailed, matted for framing, 11 x 14 inches, 1990

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a print of the Black Ostrich by an unidentified artist.
The original illustration was a hand colored engraving from Volume 8 of John Latham's "A General History of Birds", 1821-24.
The detail in the illustration is superb. You can see every detail of the ostrich's feathers.
The print was published in 1990 in "Classic Natural History Prints - Birds" by Studio Editions, London.
This print is of superior quality and is on heavy-weight, non-glossy paper.
The print reproduces the original exactly - including any flaws. This ensures an authentic antique look and feel.

The print has been placed on a sturdy backing board with an off-white mat board framing the print.
The mat board measures 11 x 14 inches / 28.5 x 36 cm - ready to fit into an off the shelf frame.
The mat opening for the print measures 8.5 inches x 11.5 inches / 22 cm x 29.5 cm.

The print was published in 1990.

The print will be placed in a cello bag and mailed in a rigid mailer.
