VINTAGE CANTEEN OF 39 PIECES OF CUTLERY (Ref: DEL31)
This canteen of cutlery is housed in a lovely wooden presentation box with brass clasps and burgundy felt and ivory colored satin lining. The interior of the box is constructed so that the pieces are held in special grooves and hollows.
The cutlery is silver plated with Firth stainless steel knife blades.
The pattern is a simplified Kings pattern - decorative, but not as fancy as the Kings pattern. Every piece, except the knives, has a shell emblem at the top of the back of the handle.
The knife handles are hollow and the same back and front. The knives are all one piece - not a handle attached to a separate blade. Hence, the blades will never detach from the handles.
The brand is Paramount and the cutlery was made in Sheffield, England.
The blades of the knives are engraved:
Made in Sheffield
The backs of the other pieces are stamped with:
"EPNS A1 Paramount".
There are 38 pieces:
6 larger forks
6 smaller forks
6 larger knives
6 smaller knives
6 soup spoons
6 dessert spoons
2 serving spoons.
The pieces are good, substantial sizes.
The canteen would make a great housewarming, engagement, or wedding present for people who appreciate vintage items.
The larger knives are 8.5 inches / 21.5 cm long.
The smaller knives are 8.5 / 21.5 cm long.
The larger forks are 8.25 inches / 21 cm long.
The smaller forks are 7 inches / 18 cm long.
The soup spoons are 7 inches / 18 cm long
The dessert spoons are 7.25 inches / 18.5 cm long.
The serving spoons are 8.75 inches / 22 cm long.
The set is circa 1960s.
The pieces are in very good condition with some surface scratches from use, but no loss of silver plate.
The box is in very good condition with very minor surface scratches on the outside.

The item is not as described or

Please don't ask for a discount. I probably won't respond to your request.
All of the goods I sell are vintage and most will have had prior owners. For this reason, they are likely to show some signs of age or wear. This is normal and I will only mention specific issues that I think you should know about before deciding to purchase.
