Large Gustav Klimt print of black crayon drawing of nude standing woman with long loose hair, 9 x 14 ins, 23 x 35.5 cm, published 1980

Gustav Klimt (1862 –1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d’art. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. His works are marked by a frank eroticism.

This is a large vintage print of a black charcoal drawing of a nude standing woman with loose, long, dark hair. It was a study for one of the three Gorgons in "The Hostile Powers", part of the Beethoven Frieze, 1902. It is a classic Klimt drawing with simple, pure lines that manage to convey so much. The background color of the artwork is grey-green-beige. The color of the paper is cream.

The print is on heavy matte paper. The back of the print is blank.

The print was included in "Gustav Klimt: Erotic Drawings", published by Harry N. Abrams, Incorporated, New York, 1980.

The artwork measures 14 inches / 35.5 cm high by 9 inches / 23 cm wide. The page it is on measures 16 inches / 41 cm tall by 12 inches / 30.5 cm wide. There is a cream border around the artwork.

You will receive the original 1980 print, not a copy.

The print will be shipped in a mailing tube.

If you purchase more than one item, I combine postage and refund any over payment of postage costs paid.

Shipping from Australia

Items will be shipped within 3 business days of payment, usually sooner.
I use a combination of Australia Post and a courier service (within Australia only).
When more than one item is purchased, I combine postage and refund any shipping overages to the buyer.
The postage times of international air mail can be unpredictable and goods may take longer than expected to arrive. This is something over which I have no control.
Custom fees vary from country to country and payment of them is the responsibility of the buyer.

If a buyer wants to seek a refund, the buyer must get in touch with me within 7 days of receiving the item.
I will refund if you change your mind about the item, but I will only refund the cost of the item, not the postage cost. The item must be returned to me for the refund and the buyer must pay the cost of the return postage.
If an item is damaged in transit, I will refund the cost of the item and the postage cost paid by the buyer. I will require proof of damage - an emailed photo may be enough proof or I may ask for the item to be returned to me. If the latter, I will pay for the return postage cost after I have received the goods.
If an item is lost in transit, I will refund the cost of the item and the postage cost.
If an item with a tracking number tracks as having been delivered and you didn't receive it, you must take this up with the carrier. I am unable to do this on your behalf.
I will refund if the item is not as described - that is, if I have unintentionally misrepresented the item or have missed damage to an item that makes a material difference to its description or value. The buyer may have to return the item to me. In that case I will pay for the cost of postage both ways as well as the cost of the item. If the buyer would like to keep the item at a discounted price, I will negotiate a price with the buyer.

Please don't ask for a discount. I probably won't respond to your request.

All of the goods I sell are vintage and most will have had prior owners. For this reason, they are likely to show some signs of age or wear. This is normal and I will only mention specific issues that I think you should know before deciding to purchase.
