Mid century black beaded handbag with large iridescent beads crocheted into gold metallic thread, gold filigree frame, rhinestone kiss lock

This is an unusual beaded bag.
It has very large iridescent black beads that have been crocheted into gold metallic thread. The beads throw off mainly blue lights.
The color of the thread is a dark antique gold.
The frame is gold filigree metal on both sides.
The closure is a rhinestone topped kiss lock.
The handle is a gold metal link chain. This isn't the original handle. The original handle was damaged so I have replaced it with a handle from another vintage bag.
The bag is lined with black satin with an unzipped pocket on one side.
The bag is large enough to hold a mobile phone and other essentials.
The bag has no label, but was probably made in Hong Kong.

The bag measures 9.25 inches / 23.5 cm at its widest point, 5.75 inches / 14.5 cm long from top to bottom (excluding the kiss lock), and 1.5 inches / 4 cm deep at the base.
The handle is 14 inches / 36.5 cm long.

The bag is circa mid 20th century.

The bag is in very good vintage condition. The filigree frame is in particularly good condition - bright and shiny and untarnished.

If you purchase more than one item I combine postage, if possible, and refund any postage overages.

The item will be shipped with Australia Post's air mail service with tracking.

Thank you for visiting CardCurios. If you have any questions, please convo me.

I accept PayPal, credit and debit cards, Etsy gift cards, and other international payment methods used by Etsy.

Shipping from Australia

Items will be shipped within 3 business days of payment, usually sooner.
I use a combination of Australia Post and a courier service (within Australia only).
When more than one item is purchased, I combine postage and refund any shipping overages to the buyer.
The postage times of international air mail can be unpredictable and goods may take longer than expected to arrive. This is something over which I have no control.
Custom fees vary from country to country and payment of them is the responsibility of the buyer.

If a buyer wants to seek a refund, the buyer must get in touch with me within 7 days of receiving the item.
I will refund if you change your mind about the item, but I will only refund the cost of the item, not the postage cost. The item must be returned to me for the refund and the buyer must pay the cost of the return postage.
If an item is damaged in transit, I will refund the cost of the item and the postage cost paid by the buyer. I will require proof of damage - an emailed photo may be enough proof or I may ask for the item to be returned to me. If the latter, I will pay for the return postage cost after I have received the goods.
If an item is lost in transit, I will refund the cost of the item and the postage cost.
If an item with a tracking number tracks as having been delivered and you didn't receive it, you must take this up with the carrier. I am unable to do this on your behalf.
I will refund if the item is not as described - that is, if I have unintentionally misrepresented the item or have missed damage to an item that makes a material difference to its description or value. The buyer may have to return the item to me. In that case I will pay for the cost of postage both ways as well as the cost of the item. If the buyer would like to keep the item at a discounted price, I will negotiate a price with the buyer.

Please don't ask for a discount. I probably won't respond to your request.

All of the goods I sell are vintage and most will have had prior owners. For this reason, they are likely to show some signs of age or wear. This is normal and I will only mention specific issues that I think you should know before deciding to purchase.
